Tshepo Mogotsi
Swingman Richard Lubasi (G/F) put on an amazing game in the last round for Mpumalanga R., receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 7.
The player was the main contributor (31 points, five rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Western Cape M. (5-4) 91-81. Mpumalanga R. is placed at 4th position in South African BNL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mpumalanga R. will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game Lubasi had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Mpumalanga R. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Richard Lubasi has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.1ppg) and assists (7th best: 2.6apg).
The second best player in last round's games was another Mpumalanga R.'s star - Nkosinathi Sibanyoni (G/F). Sibanyoni had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Mpumalanga R. cruised to a 91-81 relatively comfortable win over Western Cape M. (5-4). This victory allowed Mpumalanga R. to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Sibanyoni is well-known at Mpumalanga R. and together with Richard Lubasi are proven team's leaders.
Third on the list of top players last round was South African swingman Tshepo Mogotsi (G/F-92) of league's second-best Soweto P.. Mogotsi showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, ten rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Soweto P., leading his team to a 70-44 easy win against the lower-ranked Limpopo Pride (#6, 4-5). Soweto P. is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-1 record is not that bad... Mogotsi has a great season in South Africa. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.1ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 13.8rpg (3rd best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
